It’s official! Land Rover finally announced probably the worst kept secret in the SUV market today: The new 2020 Defender is coming to America! Yep, obviously the boffins in Land Rover marketing Department didn’t consider Canada to essential enough to make the vehicle graphic package, but I guess Canada is technically part of the continent of America. But at least we got a shout out from Kim McCollough, VP of marketing for Jaguar Land Rover North America: “The voices of American and Canadian customers has been heard: The all new Defender will be for sale here starting in 2020”
There it is! Timing details was not announced, but rather teased that it would be forthcoming:
“This announcement is a holiday gift to our Defender fans in North America and a hint of what’s to come in the New Year.”
If you would rather not wait for a modern interpretation of a Defender, we’ve got two of the newest Defenders in Canada, if not in America: A 2004 Defender 90 for sale and a 74,000 km (!) 2003 110 for sale.
